Meet Diane

I recently made the decision to merge my marketing communications expertise and my multiple skill sets to create DD CREATIVE communications. DDcc focuses specifically on assisting smaller organizations, nonprofits, and startups. I believe these are the companies that need a marketing boost – and they should be able to receive excellent communications advice and services at a fair price.

 

Why DDcc?

A little about my professional background…I’m a senior level professional with decades of success leading creative marketing communications efforts across multiple platforms. Some of my strengths include written communications, social media strategy, video storytelling, graphic design, project management, special events planning, and coaching.

 

I have extensive experience in the nonprofit, education and television sectors and I’m so excited to now be doing what I consider to be the best of those worlds!

From TELEVISION…I bring years of hands-on producing, video production, scriptwriting, and talent management experience to the table.

From EDUCATION…I offer a full understanding of academia (including interacting with students, teachers, and school boards), media relations, and the writing and design of district/staff newsletters and other print pieces.

From NONPROFIT…I know the challenges of budgeting, fundraising, donor management, volunteer development and special events. I also bring years of experience developing media and influencer relationships.

 

On the personal side, I’m a St. Louis native, and I know this market. I majored in broadcasting at Missouri State University and later received a master’s degree in communications management from Webster University.

 

I worked as a writer/producer at both ABC 30 and Fox 2 before moving across the country, first to Virginia and then on to central Illinois for positions in television management.

 

Over the years, I’ve been honored with several awards including regional Emmys, Illinois Master Communicator Awards of Excellence, Illinois Broadcasters Association Awards, Champaign-Urbana Advertising Club Awards, Missouri Broadcasters Association Awards, and a Missouri Hospital Association Show-Me Award.

 

It is in Illinois that I met my husband, had my amazing daughter, and became a big Illini basketball fan! We jumped at the opportunity to return to St. Louis on 9/11. Yep, “the” 9/11.

 

I love what I do and what I do is help smaller organizations achieve their marketing communications goals. Whether it’s upping their social media game, developing and executing a comprehensive plan for an annual gala, or creating and delivering a quarterly newsletter – DDcc laser focuses on the client’s needs.

My relationship with my clients is personal.
